Kir: is a an alcoholic drink originated in France made of Black Currant liqueur (crï¿½me de cassis) and topped with white wine. Although it should be essentially a Black currant based alcoholic drink but in France, peach or blackberry liquor prepared in the same manner can be also be termed Kir. Some popular Kir drinks are Kir Royal, Kir petillant, Kir Nomand etc.
